An idea seldom comes from a single source. In Paul Allen’s
experience, it came with a background of highway and bridge
construction and a desire to put his education to work. Amazed and
fascinated by a tape on concrete sawing and drilling, ABC Cutting
Contractors of Alabama was established with Larry McCoy (ABC Cutting
Contractors of Atlanta and Miami) as a not so silent partner in
1986. ABC began as a 2-truck operation offering slab sawing,
core drilling and hand sawing. The first sales message was:
“The basic tools of concrete sawing and drilling were only limited
by the imagination.” Willing to take on the small projects and
larger more complex ones, ABC grew steadily. Working to make
employment at ABC a career choice; we currently have a dozen men and
women with at least 10 years of experience with ABC.
ABC has been headquartered in Bessemer, Alabama since 1989, with
offices in Huntsville (1990), Montgomery (1993), and Mobile (2002).
Each office is linked by the latest computer technology for
accounting and dispatching. Maintenance capabilities at each office
allow us to service you more consistently. ABC is considered the
leader in concrete cutting services, offering reliable and
responsive service to Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and the
Florida Panhandle.
The vast amount of experience within the ABC organization is
available to our customers both in the planning and execution phases
of the projects we work on. By getting involved early in the
planning and design phases, ABC can offer suggestions that many
times lead to reductions in the overall cost and can make a
contractor more competitive.
ABC is founded on the philosophy that we honor our commitments,
regardless. If we say we will be there, you can count on
it. We can handle those large jobs that need to be completed
in a short time frame. With over 50 service trucks and
operators in Alabama; and our affiliation with the other ABC
locations across the country, we will be there for you.

customers, from the simplest hole to the more difficult jobs, to
assist in planning for a safe working environment for all concerned.
